Key Accomplishments to Date
ADVOCACY
Transitioned to a standing committee, and is currently working to build a strong Advocacy framework for The Arc New York to mobilize our advocates with a cohesive and strategic voice as we work to forward our advocacy priorities.
STAFFING
Completed its recommendations and adjourned. Efforts to support staffing are ongoing at all levels of the organization.
GOVERNANCE
Developed The Arc New York Guide to Excellence, a Board Mentorship Program, Training for Committees, and a new Dashboard to ensure the Board is informed, engaged, and prepared to lead the organization.
FISCAL SUSTAINABILITY
Completed a series of Best Practice Guides and is piloting a financial management software in Chapters across the state to better leverage our size.
SUPPORTS & SERVICES
Developed several innovative proposed changes to our service model and a collaborative innovation engine process for The Arc New York.
DIVERSITY, EQUITY & INCLUSION
Completed an initial survey of more than 10,000 employees across the state, held a statewide DEI summit and launched a webinar series to support DEI efforts.
