Invest In New Yorkers with Disabilities!
Recent investment by the state has finally made progress toward addressing our workforce crisis and stabilizing the system of care, but without sustained investment, that progress will be lost.
We are calling on state leaders to include the following requests in the 2026-27 New York State Budget:
- A 2.7% Targeted Inflationary Increase to ensure funding accounts for the increased cost of living and providing services.
- Careforce Affordability Initiatives to support affordable housing, childcare and healthcare for direct care staff
- Funding for Infrastructure Investments to maintain facilities, meet state climate goals, and support innovative services
